The Agile Person – The truth behind personality types and agility
On the journey to agility, many organizational leaders ask one simple question, ‘is everyone right for agile?’ Does the move to agility require a different type of person, or is it the same people managed differently? This question inspired a joint research project between McKinsey & Company and Scrum.org on what personality traits and work values are important for agility. In this talk Dave West, CEO of Scrum.org and Wouter Aghina, Managing Partner McKinsey discuss the people element for moving to agile. They discuss what characteristics and work values are important for agile teams and how to select and hire the right people. They discuss strategies for managing the reality for most teams and what it means ‘long term’ for future agile organizations.
